The SEC has proposed a new regulatory framework titled "Regulation Crypto Assets" to create a tailored offering regime for certain investment contracts involving crypto assets.

FINRA alerted member firms that use its Trade Reporting Facilities about new National Securities Clearing Corporation requirements for the overnight trading session.

SIFMA endorsed the SEC's plan to scrap the equity trade-through rule so long as the agency builds replacement safeguards first, while the Managed Funds Association said the proposal needs more study and Better Markets called for it to be withdrawn altogether.

Nasdaq notified members it will launch a new overnight trading session from 9 p.m. to 4 a.m. ET on December 6, 2026.

The Managed Funds Association argued that existing securities laws already provide a robust framework for overseeing investment advisers' AI use.
