The U.S. District Court for the District of Nevada entered an Order of Default Judgment against a firm and its owner for engaging in illegal off-exchange trading in precious metals.

The CFTC will consider (i) final rules that relate to system safeguards-testing requirements and (ii) a comparability determination for Japan's uncleared swap margin rules. The open meeting will take place on September 8, 2016 at 10:30 a.m., EDT.

The SEC adopted amendments implementing a statutory requirement for security-based swap data repositories to make data available to certain regulators and other authorities. The final amendments will become effective on November 1, 2016.

The MSRB proposed a rule change that would require dealers to disclose to retail investors the dollar value and percentage of compensation to customers, as well as references to trade price data about the bonds.

The SEC found that FINRA and the MSRB "Pay to Play" rules impose "substantially equivalent or more stringent restrictions on broker dealers than the SEC Pay to Play Rule imposes on investment advisers".
