The CFTC and financial regulators in Mexico signed a memorandum of understanding allowing for cross-border cooperation and the exchange of information in the supervision and oversight of regulated entities.

The MSRB launched "MuniEdPro℠," a suite of interactive online courses. Each course provides real-world simulations that help professionals and members of the public better understand municipal securities transactions, as well as related market and regulatory considerations.

The SEC requested comments on a FINRA proposal to broaden chairperson eligibility in arbitration. The request for comments was published in the Federal Register.

The CFTC extended the comment period for proposed amendments to regulations applicable to commodity pool operators' required Annual Reports. Comments on the proposed amendments now must be submitted by September 20, 2016.
