Polymarket US Airdrop Bets Pay Only if Tokens Are Launched and Freely Tradable

QCX LLC, doing business as Polymarket US, set terms for event contracts that pay out if a named entity airdrops a specified crypto token by a set date and time.

Each contract has a $1.00 notional size and a $0.001 to $0.01 minimum tick. Position accountability is $25,000 of notional exposure, there are no position limits, and margin is 100 percent.

A contract pays out only if the entity both launched the token as a publicly tradable cryptocurrency and distributed it to eligible recipients by the deadline. Locked, vesting, non-transferable or non-swappable tokens do not qualify, nor do airdrops solely of non-fungible tokens. The exchange may resolve a contract early if a qualifying outcome occurs before expiration.

The exchange, as source agency, relies first on on-chain data and the entity's official communications. Second, it uses CoinGecko, CoinMarketCap, other aggregators and exchanges, and credible crypto media. Third, it uses blockchain analytics platforms.

Expiration is the earlier of the release of qualifying data or a date in the terms, at 11:59:59 PM ET, and settlement follows by the next day. The exchange may extend expiration if data is delayed, citing Sections 10.3 and 10.4 of its rulebook. Its outcome determination is final for settlement.

The terms also bar certain current and former employees of (i) the source agency or crypto data providers, (ii) the issuer or related organizations, and (iii) exchanges, market makers, or affiliates with advance nonpublic airdrop information. Beneficial owners of entities with that access, and household and immediate family members of all these persons, are also barred.

The exchange may open an outcome review before settlement. If an event undermines source reliability or transparency, it may name a new source and underlying and change the payout condition and terms after the first day of trading.
