SEC Requests Comments on MSRB Proposal to Amend Articles of Incorporation (Fed. Reg.)

The SEC solicited comments on amendments to the Articles of Incorporation necessary for the implementation of the MSRB's newly adopted board membership requirements. The changes will ensure conformity between the MSRB's Amended Rule A-3 and the Amended and Restated Articles of Incorporation. The new requirements are effective immediately and the request for comments was published in the Federal Register.

The operative date of the adopted amendments will be October 1, 2016, which is the beginning of the first MSRB fiscal year for which the new MSRB board term length and class structure will apply. The MSRB will file the Amended and Restated Articles of Incorporation with the Commonwealth of Virginia at a later date in accordance with Virginia law.

Comments on the proposed amendments must be submitted by June 15, 2016.
