SEC Approves FINRA Proposal to Realign NMS Computer Clocks (Fed. Reg.)
The Federal Register published SEC approved FINRA Rule 4590 and a corresponding amendment to existing Rule 7430. The new rules are intended to reduce the synchronization tolerance of FINRA members' computer clocks that record events in National Market System securities, including standardized options and over-the-counter equity securities.
FINRA will announce the effective date of the proposed rule change in an upcoming Regulatory Notice.
