FINRA Proposes Amendments to FINRA OATS Reporting Requirements (Fed. Reg.)

A FINRA proposal to amend Rules 7410 and 7440 was published in the Federal Register.

Amendments to Rules 7410 and 7440 would require FINRA members to identify broker-dealers who are not themselves FINRA members, but who send orders to reporting FINRA members. The amendments require that FINRA members identify these broker dealers on their Order Audit Trail System ("OATS") reports.

Comments on the FINRA proposal must be submitted by March 17, 2016.
