SEC Announces Public Meeting of Investor Advisory Committee (Fed. Reg.)

The SEC announced the Investor Advisory Committee will hold a public meeting on July 16, 2015. The SEC's notice was published in the Federal Register.

The meeting's agenda will, among other things, include:

• a discussion of background checks as a means to address elder financial abuse;
• a discussion of the Department of Labor's fiduciary rule proposal;
• a shareholder rights update; and
• an investment management discussion on the disclosure of fees and risks in fund products.

The meeting will be webcast on the SEC's Web site at www.sec.gov.
