SEC Revises EDGAR Filer Manual (Fed. Reg.)

The SEC's adoption of revisions to the Electronic Data Gathering, Analysis and Retrieval System ("EDGAR") Filer Manual was published in the Federal Register.

According to the SEC, the updates are being made primarily to (i) support the revision of the disclosure, reporting and offering process for asset-backed securities, (ii) upgrade the system to be compatible with Internet Explorer version 8.0, and (iii) revise N-SAR requirements.

The EDGAR system is scheduled to be upgraded to support this functionality on October 20, 2014.
