SEC Responds to Statutory Changes to SDR Indemnification Requirement (Fed. Reg.)
In response to recent statutory changes eliminating a mandatory indemnification requirement, the SEC reopened the comment period for proposed amendments to SEA Rule 13n-4, which would allow various U.S. and non-U.S. regulators to access security-based swap data held by SEC-regulated security-based swap data repositories ("SDRs"). The SEC's request for comments was published in the Federal Register.
Comments on the proposed amendments must be submitted by February 22, 2016.
